South Fork Cascades is a small waterfall that’s worth a stopover on the way to Heart Lake.

Since it is not visible from the trail, few people stop to notice. Water tumbles over large boulders in a stream that’s lined with old-growth spruce and cedar. Be sure to extend your hike another couple of miles to Heart Lake.
