The popular hike to Holland Falls takes you along the north shore of Holland Lake to the foothills of Swan Range. The Swan Valley is thick with wildlife, and many observable species live in the lake’s shoreline habitat. Surrounding forests are a fine example of a Crown of the Continent ecosystem in which towering ponderosa pines and western larch dominate the landscape. At the falls, you’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Mission Mountains’ tallest peaks across the lake and valley. On a hot day, you can approach within a few feet of the cascade to be showered by its refreshing mist.
