Thousands of Glacier Park visitors see McDonald Falls and Sacred Dancing Cascade from the roadside overlooks, but the experience is much better if you visit them along the footpath on the opposite side of the stream. The hike takes you through wet cedar and hemlock temperate rainforest to the jagged cliffs along McDonald Creek. These famous cascades are joined by a classic Glacier backdrop of steep mountains and pointed peaks.
