Rock Creek Falls is located next to the abandoned Heidelberg Mine in a wooded canyon in the southern Cabinet Mountains. The lightly used trail passes through a variety of terrain before terminating at subalpine Rock Lake. Lush forests lead to Rock Creek Meadows and a couple of sky-reflecting ponds. You have a good chance of seeing waterfowl, whitetail deer, mountain goats, and other wildlife as you trek through the diverse and changing habitats.
