Located in the eastern Purcell Mountains just west of Lake Koocanusa, Little North Fork Falls pours over tall ledges into a narrow ravine. Along the National Recreational Trail, interpretative signs educate you about the flora, fauna, and geology of the place. The short walk up the well-maintained trail is suitable for all hikers, and the shady forest is a pleasant escape from summer heat. Stay a night at a nice camping area near the banks of trout-laden Big Creek by the trailhead.
