Geologists and rock lovers in general will love exploring the base of Upper West Fork Yaak Falls. Colorful folds of sedimentary rock are raised and contorted. A large column stands up in the middle of the gorge and water spills around it. The short path descends through steep terrain to viewpoints at the river. For the most impressive display, come during spring runoff when water drops down both sides of the tall rock formation.
