Timber Point is nearly an island. It is separated from Goose Rocks Beach by the Little River. The trail follows a lane through an open forest of mostly oak to the rocky point. At low tide you can cross to Timber Island. There are no trails on the island, but you can wander its small wooded center or explore the jumbled rocks along the shore. There is access from the trailhead to the Little River and a white sand beach in Curtis Cove.
