This trail was unbelievably wet and muddy. The first mile or so was great - it was more elevated and it was a nice easy hike with some hills. The later part of the trail was a mess though. They have some boards (narrow boardwalk of sorts) in a few spots to help get through some of the most water filled parts, but probably due to it being early spring, the whole second half of the trail was a mess. It kept getting increasingly worse, until we got to a point where the trail was no longer visible and it looked like a lake in front of us (we were probably 1/8 - 1/4 mile to the end of the trail at this point). We were able to cut through the woods and get to the road which was visible from that part of the trail and take the road back. It looked like a lot of people had bailed out at the point because there was the start of a trail forming from the trail to the road (so it was getting trampled down there). We still had a lot of fun, but man - that was probably the most underwater I've ever seen a trail. It would be possible to do this trail and not do the second half because about half way through, it crosses over the road that leads back to the parking. So, you could do the first half and then just walk the road back to parking.
