Hamburger Rock Campground is one of the most unusual campgrounds in Utah. Its namesake: a squatty, circular stone that bears a resemblance to a giant burger with all the fixin’s, inside the newly formed Bears Ears National Monument. This burger’s not just for looks; you can dive right into one of the Bureau of Land Management’s seven campsites that are tucked into the nooks and crannies of the burger’s perimeter, and you’re perched near the boundary of Canyonlands National Park. Canyonlands is divided into three sections: Island in the Sky, which is the most popular and most visitorfriendly; The Needles, which has some measure of tourist attention; and The Maze, which is one of the most remote places in the entirety of the United States. Hamburger Rock is just 6 miles from the oft-overlooked Needles Visitor Center.
