Hiking the trails in the northeastern corner of Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is like riding a roller coaster, or as close as you’re likely to get while hiking anyway. Over the 5.8-mile hike, you’ll climb rugged hills and then do your best not pitch forward and roll right down their descents. It’s a fun and often challenging hike through forest and along ridges carved by glaciers many millennia ago. As an added bonus, the reserve carries the National Audubon Society’s Important Bird Area designation.
