This hike passes four ponds: Tracy, Elbow, Daicey, and Grassy. It’s a really good hike to take in the morning or evening to see wildlife. The ponds are generally shallow and ?lled with aquatic plants. From several places along the hike, you have ?ne views of the mountains north and west. Grassy and Elbow Ponds have rental canoes. Tracy, Elbow, and Grassy Ponds are all fairly shallow ponds with lots of aquatic plants growing in them. Great places to find moose and other wildlife. Tracy Pond is the first and smallest pond. Sedges and other plants grow out from the shore almost to its center. A few rocks rest among the greenery in the shallow water. Doubletop Mountain rests atop the dense forest across the pond. Watch for moose and ducks.
