The Traveler is as long and difficult a hike as Katahdin. Because of the difference in geology, the two mountains feel very different. The hiking is very different, too. The Traveler is never crowded; most days you have the mountain almost to yourself. Even though all of The Traveler is part of a huge mass of rhyolite, the four peaks the hike crosses all feel and look unique.
