Horse Mountain Cliffs are the first thing visitors to the north entrance of Baxter see as they approach the park. The Horse Mountain Trail leads to the top of the cliffs with fine views. A side trail leads to the mountain’s wooded summit. The main trail continues across the mountain to Billfish Pond. A side trail leads steeply down to Billfish Brook, where it enters a narrow gorge.
