Platina Road is a wonderful bike adventure. The scenery is somewhat uniform throughout. It’s a classic foothills landscape of rolling, grassy meadows, with woods of oak and other broadleaf trees in profusion. There are a few ranches along the route, but mostly, this is empty country, all of it beautiful and wild. As frosting on the cake, this lightly traveled road winding through the back of beyond has very good pavement.
