It is hard to think of another ride in this book that is so consistently beautiful and rewarding as this one. The only disclaimer I will make is that the same scenic charms that make it so appealing for cyclists also attract motorized tourists. Doing the ride on a weekday in the spring or fall, when most of the tourists are elsewhere, would greatly improve the quality of the experience.
