The La Tierra Trails System spreads over 1,500 acres and contains over 25 miles of beautiful singletrack trails. This trail system is great for everyone, from beginner to advanced cyclist. The La Tierra Trails are one of the newest additions to the Santa Fe area trail system. Cyclists can enjoy riding through rolling hills and navigating arroyos, and some may even find solitude on a busy weekend afternoon with all the trail options La Tierra has to offer. Even if the trails are busy, they provide cyclists with an excellent escape and beautiful views. The La Tierra Trails System is far different than the many other trails you will find in the Santa Fe area. Compared to the trails in the Santa Fe National Forest, the trails at La Tierra are smooth, hoppy, and very playful to ride on. Plus these trails are on nice sandy compact surfaces that provide great traction as you glide on the downhill sections and whip through the uphills. The La Tierra trails are easily accessible, and it is very easy to find your way around. Trail junctions are numbered, and they seem to be at every corner.
