The Point Pinole Mission is a short off-road ride, with terrain featuring a mixture of dirt, gravel, and pavement, at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline Park in northwestern Richmond. The park is surprisingly isolated, with a detention facility on its eastern border and with an active set of railroad tracks separating the park from the city of Richmond. I was pleasantly surprised once here, admittedly not expecting the fabulous vistas of San Pablo Bay, the captivating layout, and the fascinating background.
