The San Pablo Ridge Circuit is a 22.3-mile clockwise loop around San Pablo Ridge, which forms a spine along the northern East Bay hills, separating Berkeley, El Cerrito, and Richmond from San Pablo Reservoir and the Briones Hills. The ridge separates the Wildcat Creek Watershed on the west from the San Pablo Creek Watershed on the east. The course is moderately challenging, but not as taxing as some of the hillier rides in this book. The route actually crosses over the ridge at Inspiration Point along Wildcat Canyon Road, at the edge of Berkeley and Tilden Regional Park.
