Roll Ring Mountain is a composite of dirt and rocky trails and paved residential roads in Tiburon (see Ruta del Tiburon). The centerpiece of the ride is Ring Mountain Open Space Preserve, one of Marin County’s many natural areas. Restrictions on trail use by bicycles force the rider to enter the preserve on one end, exit on the other, and then navigate city streets to access a trailhead on the opposite side of the preserve to continue the short loop. The ride is short but challenging, with virtually no flat sections. Some of the steepest hills are on paved roads, though, making the route quite rideable by beginner cyclists.
