Beginning with a 1-mile interpretive trail where you can learn about the area’s flora and fauna as it pertained to the Chumash Indians, this loop trail climbs steadily through Aliso Canyon, eventually peaking just beyond a meadow. The trail then meanders down the other side of the canyon, with views of Oso Canyon to the south. Aliso Canyon is a great place to view wildflowers. Though nearby Figueroa Mountain is a better known spot for wildflower enthusiasts, Aliso Canyon offers an equally impressive variety.
