This campground is one of a few campgrounds on Lake Cumberland where you can get a campsite next to the water; fourteen of the campsites at Cumberland Point are waterfront sites. You can park your boat within seeing distance of your camp. Lake Cumberland is a water wonderland. The lake is gin clear most of the year, and the fishing is some of the best in the state. The lake has an abundance of largemouth, smallmouth, white, and Kentucky bass, bluegill, crappie, rockfish, and walleye, making it a favorite among anglers. You can also visit Mill Springs Battlefield Park, just a 20-minute drive from the campground. This historic Civil War site offers interpretive exhibits, a gift shop, and a driving tour.
