Buckhorn Lake is one of Kentucky’s most popular camping destinations; its beautiful wooded setting, along with some of the state’s best fishing, makes it a must-visit location. While Buckhorn isn’t considered to be a big lake, it is packed with big opportunities. Many of the campsites are near or right on the water. With good roads and easy parking sites, the campground has something for almost everyone.
You can boat in, hike in, or drive in—the choice is yours. Some of the best muskie fishing lurks in the waters of Buckhorn, along with excellent bass and crappie fishing. Note: The boat-in campsites cannot be reserved in advance; contact the Buckhorn Campground office at (606) 398-7220 for payment and site availability.
