The campground is located on a hill across from the lake. The main road leading into the campground is paved; however, some of the loops are gravel. The campground has a lot of shade, and the sites are easy to pull into. The laundry is centrally located and within walking distance of all but the upper end of the small RV loops. Picnic areas have shelters, which must be reserved. The lake is about 1 mile away; however, the beach is about 3 miles away, located in the area near the Little Sandy River that feeds the lake. I stayed here many times when my kids were small. The playground is near Sites 24 and 36; I could see my kids from these campsites, which made it easy to keep an eye on them without leaving our camp.
