This delightful stretch of the PCT, one of the best in Southern California, is best hiked one-way. If you set this up as a car shuttle, leave one car at or outside Eagles Roost Picnic Area, and take the other to Cloudburst Summit, where the PCT begins as a disused fire road that contours north.
