The Oak Flat Trail, the only developed trail along the Interstate 5 corridor through the Angeles National Forest, offers ever-widening vistas of fault-tortured canyon country, and a close look on the way up at some interesting outcrops of breccia—a sedimentary rock resembling conglomerate in appearance, except that the imbedded stones are sharp, not rounded.
