Instantly a hit when it first opened to the public in the late 1980s, Cheeseboro Canyon now draws a host of hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, and even some wheelchair explorers to its network of old roads and newer trails. Friendly rangers patrol the roads and trails on horseback, eager to tell anyone willing to lend an ear about the park’s natural features and wildlife (deer and coyotes, especially).
