Serviceberry Canyon is a one-two punch of wide-open bowls and cold, north-facing evergreen tree runs with an uppercut of easy access thrown in. In fact, Bald Mountain East and her twin peak, Sharp Mountain, are the quickest summits to access in the southern Oquirrhs and are therefore the best to ski during the short, dark days of winter. A low-angle 4x4 road gets you to the goods easily, but you can also find steep ridges to climb if you’re hankering for more adventure.
