Wissahickon Valley Park is a 7-mile-long forested alpine gorge cut by the Wissahickon Creek that is just outside of Center City Philadelphia. Its spectacular 1,800 acres are an incredible pocket of wilderness that contains over 50 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. One of the nicest ways to get an overview of the park is to ride along Forbidden Drive. This popular and beautiful trail along the Wissahickon Creek runs the length of the valley from Chestnut Hill all the way down to Lincoln Drive in Manayunk. This ride will take you along the trail and show you the sights along the way.
