The hike to Umbrella Falls is a Northwest summertime classic. Along the trail expect to see beautiful alpine meadows filled with beargrass, lupine, paintbrush, and the occasional tantalizing view of Mount Hood. Umbrella Falls lives up to its name visually and is a great area for picnicking and exploring. The viewpoint of Sahale Falls doesn’t offer much but perhaps entices a better view from the old highway.
