McClellan Butte is the pointed, alpine-looking mountain just south of I-90, 6 miles east of the Edgewick Road exit. The glades on the west slope of the peak, with their easy access, offer a change of pace from high mountain skiing. The gullies on the freeway side have been skied. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; permit / fee area.
