Kendall Peak Lakes Basin lies 1.7 miles northeast-east of Snoqualmie Pass, but is reached via the Kendall Ridge approach. The complex slopes surrounding the basin provide numerous runs of varying steepness up to a mile long with 1,200 feet of elevation gain. From the Gold Creek Sno-Park, ski the road to Kendall Ridge. From the knoll at 4,250 feet, head northeast for 0.5 mile. Near 4,400 feet, keep left of the ridge as you traverse 0.5 mile to lower Kendall Peak Lakes (4,465 feet). It is another 0.2 mile to upper Kendall Peak Lakes (4,700 feet). Ski the gullies and ridges along the north rim of the basin, then return via the approach. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; permit / fee area.
