The huge, gleaming slope southeast of the Gold Creek Sno-Park is the southern terminus of Rampart Ridge. Mount Margaret lies to the east, separated from Rampart by Rocky Run (a creek). This tour has a flavor similar to the Amabilis tour, with the bonus of better skiing higher up. While wax makes skiing the road easy, climbing skins make the ascent to the high point a delight (as much as this is possible). Difficulties: Moderate avalanche potential; permit / fee area.
