Jolly Mountain is located northeast of Cle Elum Lake. It is an easy, albeit long, tour and affords wonderful views of the Mount Stuart and Dutch Miller Gap areas. The weather tends to be better here than on the west side of the mountains; in recent years, the road has been kept open all the way to Salmon La Sac to provide access to Sno-Park users. Difficulties: Moderate avalanche potential; permit / fee area; not recommended for snowboarders.
