Jove Peak lies 1.7 miles north-northwest of Rainy Pass and is approached via Smith Brook Road. Its northwest and southeast shoulders can offer powder and corn on the same day! On the downside, afternoon slides from the south side of Union Peak and Jove Peak pose a significant threat to skiers. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; permit / fee area; snowmobile traffic on approach road.
