Cascade Pass is one of the most spectacular, easily accessible viewpoints in the North Cascades. It is also the entry point for three spectacular high routes: the Ptarmigan Traverse, the Bullsnake Traverse, and the Teebone Ridge–Cascade Pass Traverse. The skiing in the immediate vicinity of the pass is pretty good, too. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; glacier travel for summit climb; permit / fee area.
