Thank goodness the Salmon la Sac area has plenty of roads because they keep the snowmobilers off quiet trails like this one that parallels Cooper River upstream to Cooper Lake. This route is occasionally used by cross-country skiers, but more often than not, snowshoers will find they have the wide, pretty trail all to themselves.
