Perfect winter hiking. Bring the snow shoes and some adventurousness, because crossing "snow bridges" over running creeks is a bit scary. Nothing but fun the whole way though. We took 3 days and camped and snowshoed. Winter parking and over night parking were no problem. There is also a hotspring somewhere near by that is not in the trails.com. Might want to check it out locally.

A really nice hike up in great snow conditions. Be prepared for numerous creek crossings (meaning really high snowbanks to climb), but no really hard stuff. The route is easy to find and if you loose it, just head back to Surprise Creek and you'll find it again. While your hiking in the trees be sure to look up and see the ridges that surround you. You might be surprised. Enjoy!
