From the open ledges of this small Brownfield mountain, you’ll have views of the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the peaks and hills of western Maine. At about 2.0 miles round-trip, a snowshoe trip up to the south summit of Peary Mountain is a relatively easy excursion. This is a good warm-up before tackling more difficult peaks. For skiers the packed snowmobile trail makes for a gradual ascent and a winding downhill. Surface quality: Packed by snowmobiles.
