Ledge View Nature Center occupies the high ground 150 feet above the gently rolling farmland of eastern Wisconsin. That doesn’t mean you’ll have to tackle severe terrain to ski or snowshoe here. The trail is mostly on the flat hilltop. The greatest elevation change, even on the snowshoe-only option, will be 40 feet and that will be gentle. The comfortable, modern Nature Center is a wonderful facility that features exhibits on flora and fauna. There are three caves at Ledge View that penetrate the Niagara dolomite capstone. They can be toured in the summer. Surface quality: Groomed and double tracked except on snowshoe trails.
