The Dynamite Trail is so named because it passes by the magazine where Dave Spicer used to keep the blasting materials he used to carve out roads and highways. This trail climbs high up the hill located on the north end of Dave’s Ranch, giving you great views of the entire ranch, as well as the Oasis Valley. After you take in the views, you get to take a great downhill ride that is cut tight into the hills. The Dynamite Trail is completely on the Spicer Ranch, from start to finish. It is accessed by traveling up the STORM Trail, then crossing the dirt road to the trailhead. The STORM Trail is accessed by crossing the cattle guard and heading along the dirt road to the left toward a sign directing you to the STORM Trail and camping area. Turn right as the dirt road makes its way to a metal gate.
