This trail is an alternate route to the Landmine Loop, adding a little over a mile to the total ride. The ride offers an easy and enjoyable route through the middle of Cottonwood Valley, then gives you a fun downhill section before it meets back up with the Landmine Loop and eventually heads back to Blue Diamond. From the parking lot, pull out onto Castalia Street and turn left heading to Cottonwood Drive. Turn left again and follow Cottonwood Drive up the hill. A right turn on Cerrito Street will lead you to the trailhead at the top of the hill. Cerrito Street is a bit of a climb and you’ll know you’ve found the trailhead when asphalt turns to dirt. There will also be several large rocks at the trailhead, which are meant to deter motorized vehicles from going on the trail. Follow the trail straight, not taking any offshoot trails and make the long, steep climb up the hill.
