This ride is a combination of trails that is a great ride for intermediate to advanced riders as it offers technical challenges sandwiched between some fun fast sections. It starts with Mother—the first trail in Bootleg Canyon—which is a black diamond, or technically difficult trail. From here you head into a fun, fast downhill section, were you can go as fast as your skills will let you. Mother begins by heading up the dirt road to the trailhead. The entrance can easily be seen to the left of the road at just about where the telephone pole and the road meet. You’ll see the point where the trail cuts out from the road. Take that trail to the left up the short climb. Once at the crest of the short hill, the trail splits into two.
