This trail is a fun ride for both beginner and intermediate riders, while still offering some great technical challenges for those with more advanced skills. The trail gets its name because of the great views it provides of the largest manmade lake in the United States—Lake Mead. The trail begins between several large rocks located just behind and to the right of the restrooms. The rocks have been placed there specifically to mark the trail. As you head down the hill and come around the bend, there is a large ditch, which is a remnant of the flight line that used to run from the top of the hill. Worried the dangling feet of their passengers would strike bike riders on the trail below, the creators of the flight line dug a ditch for the mountain bikers to ride into. Although the flight line on that particular hill is gone, the ditch remains.
