Many moons ago, before Bootleg Canyon became the modern mountain biking park it is today, Brent Thomson and brothers Dan and Jeff Haskin carved a trail high into the canyon walls. This original trail, which became known as “Mother,” is not one for the faint of heart. It follows the ridge of the canyon, way up high, and there is a steep, rocky drop that follows the trail almost the entire way.
