This property was purchased by the city of Colorado Springs in 1998, with the majority of the funds coming from the Trails Open Space and Parks (TOPS) sales tax. Adjacent to North Cheyenne Cañon, this 317acre expanse has approximately 6 miles of well-marked trails offering a mixture of single- and doubletrack routes on gently rolling terrain, as well as enjoyable climbing and descending. There are great views of the foothills to the west and glimpses of the Broadmoor Hotel to the south. Run in a counterclockwise loop, this route starts at the trailhead just feet from the parking lot. Start heading north on the Wildflower Path. The trail is singletrack and smooth to start, with minimal climbing, affording the first view corridor within 0.5 mile.
