After a short climb on singletrack, the path widens as it travels west. Turn left on a section of singletrack and traverse several switchbacks before descending to a stone bridge and crossing the road to pick up the singletrack on the other side. This trail, the Columbine Trail, and the remaining route are well signed. Follow the Columbine Trail approximately 3 miles to Gold Camp Road, and turn left to reach the upper parking lot at the intersection of High Drive. Turn right up High Drive for about 1 mile to a signpost on the left for the Buckhorn Trail.
