One of Colorado Springs' city parks, North Cheyenne Cañon provides all that makes Colorado spectacular, with sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys, forested pathways, bubbling creeks, waterfalls, and trails to enjoy. Begin on the Lower Columbine Trail proceeding west. When the road comes into view, turn sharply to the left/uphill and follow switchbacks, which will drop down to the road. Cross the road and continue on the singletrack, where the trail becomes steep, with much of the 1,200 feet of climbing encountered in the next mile.
