The network of trails looping up and around the small mountain in the front of Apex Park provides excellent vistas, shady sections through pine forests, open meadows, and some fun and fast descents. Start the run on the main trail leaving the parking area, but then quickly turn off to the left, onto the Argos Trail as it switchbacks up the east face of the mountain through open prairie and shrubs.
