There are many options for extending this run, or making it more or less challenging. From the trailhead, the trail is a groomed gravel path for half-a-mile of gentle climbing, to where it intersects with the Community Ditch, which runs east–west and connects to Marshall Mesa through an underpass—if you were to take a left on it. Don’t. Stay straight (south), and follow Doudy Draw Trail for 1.7 miles to the junction with the Spring Brook Loop Trail, which heads west.
