Activity Type: Sea Kayaking
Nearby City: Tilghman
Distance: 8.7 nautical miles
Skill Level: Difficult
Hazards/Cautions: Depending on conditions, paddling in the open water around the island can be too challenging for a novice paddler. The western shoreline of the island can be very choppy and doesn’t offer many places to land in the event of a summer storm or sudden winds since all the riprap (rock used to protect the shoreline) makes landing difficult.
